The Canada Games are Canada’s largest multi-sport event, bringing together the country’s top young athletes from across the provinces and territories. Held every two years, alternating between summer and winter editions, the Games provide athletes with an opportunity to compete at a high level while representing their province or territory.
Curling has been part of every Canada Winter Games since the inaugural Games in 1967. The event has helped launch the careers of many Canadian curlers who have gone on to compete at the national, world and Olympic levels. Mixed Doubles was added to the Canada Winter Games program in 2023, providing another opportunity for young athletes to experience high-level competition.
For PEI athletes, the Canada Games provide an important step in the athlete development pathway and an opportunity to represent Prince Edward Island on a national stage.
2027 CANADA WINTER GAMES
The 2027 Canada Winter Games will be held in Québec City, Québec, returning the Games to their birthplace 60 years after the inaugural Canada Games were held in Québec in 1967. Québec will host the Canada Games for the fourth time, following the 1967 Canada Winter Games, the 1983 Canada Winter Games in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, and the 2013 Canada Summer Games in Sherbrooke.
Curling competition will take place from February 27 to March 14, 2027.
