Hit, Draw, Tap (HDT) is a fun youth skills competition that gives children ages 6–12 an opportunity to test and develop their curling skills as individuals.
Participants compete in three different skills—a hit, a draw and a tap—with the difficulty of each shot adjusted based on the participant’s age. Participants are grouped into three age categories:
- Ages 6–7
- Ages 8–9
- Ages 10–12
HDT can be offered through Curl PEI member clubs as part of their junior programs or as a stand-alone youth activity. Participants’ results can be entered into the Curling Canada HDT database, allowing them to see how they compare with other young curlers across Canada.
