U-15 RockFest Atlantic is a unique youth development event that combines training and competition to help young curlers develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment. The event brings together U-15 curlers from Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador for an opportunity to learn, compete and connect with other young athletes from Atlantic Canada.
The event features a combination of skills activities and triples curling, with a focus on developing both technical and strategic skills. The goal is to provide young curlers with tools and experience that will help them reach their potential, whether they are pursuing a competitive pathway or simply looking to continue developing and enjoying the sport.
HOW TO QUALIFY
Athletes from PEI can qualify for U-15 RockFest Atlantic through Curl PEI’s skills testing process. During a Curl PEI RockFest Qualifier, curlers complete a variety of shots and their results are recorded using Curling Canada’s Skills Curling app.
Following the PEI testing process, top-performing curlers may receive invitations to represent Prince Edward Island at U-15 RockFest Atlantic, based on the available Atlantic Canada event quota.
The U-15 RockFest program provides an excellent opportunity for young athletes to experience a different style of competition, challenge themselves against curlers from across Atlantic Canada, and continue developing their skills.
